A passion for sewing and good design and a big interest in sustainable fashion shaped the idea of making own garments for my two little ones born in 2010 and 2013. The models and sizes were created along the way as my babies grew into toddlers. The clothes took gradually shape and the positive respons from friends and customers gave the encouragement to continue designing and developing. In October 2015 my company Myrfolk was born and a new chapter in my life had started.
Using sustainable and environmentally friendly materials was a natural choice from day one because of the many good qualifications that those kinds of materials possess, both for the consumer as well as for the producer. Every model and size is designed to make a perfect fit to the child. Softness, comfortability and dressy appearance are keywords during the design process.
The patterns of the fabrics are designed in Scandinavia and the fabrics are manufactured in Europe with the certification of either GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) or Öko-Tex Standard 100, which ensures that they don’t content any harmful substances. The up-cycled garments are made out of washed reused second hand fabrics.
